i-Design responded to a detailed brief and created a bespoke set of furniture using birch plywood faced with an extremely durable laminate, including workstations, filing cabinets, bookcases, meeting room tables, acoustic panels and a kitchenette
i-Design is now working with Rugby School and their architects on a roll out of its bedroom furniture across the day and boarding houses.
‘Rugby is at the start of a £25m project to refurbish and modernise all 13 of its boarding houses. Key to this is getting the furniture solution right. I wanted the robustness and long-life of the existing furniture, but without the clinical ”institutional” look we wanted to move away from.
